Is Botox right for you? This is one of the first questions any doctor should answer before performing an application. At EWAH by Dr. Lorena Pinzón, the prior assessment is not a formality — it's the foundation of a successful, safe result.

What Age Can You Start Botox?

The ideal age to start Botox depends more on individual skin needs than on chronological age. In general, it can be considered from age 25, when the first dynamic expression lines begin to appear. Starting treatment early — what is known as preventive Botox — allows the formation of deep wrinkles to be delayed.

Who Are Good Candidates?

Good candidates for Botox include people with dynamic expression lines on the forehead, frown area, or around the eyes; those seeking to prevent facial aging; patients with bruxism or hyperhidrosis; and men and women who want a more rested, rejuvenated appearance without resorting to surgery.

Are There Contraindications?

Yes. Botox is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, people with neuromuscular diseases such as myasthenia gravis, patients with known allergies to botulinum toxin or its components, or people on certain antibiotics or anticoagulants. This is why a prior medical assessment is essential.

Why Is a Medical Assessment at EWAH Fundamental?

At EWAH every patient undergoes a valuation consultation before any procedure. We evaluate your medical history, analyze your facial anatomy, define the application zones, and establish realistic expectations. This consultation is free and without obligation. Book yours at ewah-derm.com or WhatsApp +57 312 305 3887.
