Contraindications of Radiesse include: pregnancy and breastfeeding, known allergy to its components (calcium hydroxyapatite or carboxymethylcellulose), active autoimmune diseases, history of keloids, active infection in the treatment area, and anticoagulant treatment. After Radiesse treatment it is recommended to: not massage or press the treated area for 48 hours (except on medical advice), avoid intense exercise and sun exposure on the day of the procedure, avoid extreme temperatures (sauna, pool) for the first week, apply cold compress if there is swelling, use sunscreen daily, and attend the follow-up check at 15 days.
